Claudia thought she knew which Bakersfield Rv park was recommended by Dale and Cindy and Steve and Lynnette, but she was only guessing. We ended up at the Bakersfield Palms. Our first clue that she guessed wrong was that there were no cookies waiting for us in the office. Then when we asked where the restaurant was, the reply was that there was a Dennys within walking distance. Oh well it only cost us $27.00, and actually was nice. All pull thrus and the nicest newest power stacks that we have ever seen. We got home abt 4:30 after our usual stop at Crappy World in San Martin. We came home hiway 99 for a change. It may have been a little slower but there was much more to look at than on Hiway 5. Cool and overcast at home but at least we get to watch all the Giants game on TV.
We had a bit of good luck driving home. There is a long stretch of road, with not cross streets. About 20 miles. We passed by a brand new wreck in the middle of the road. I am sure that when the police arrived there, traffic was blocked in both directions. We have had to sit there waiting an hour, in the past. So, some one else's hardship is our good luck.
I took this picture a few days before we left the park. It is nearly empty.
